ALOHA,
FACTS ON RAIL DEVELOPMENT THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA AND CITY WILL NOT COVER TO BE PRESENTED AT TOWN HALL MEETING ON FEBRUARY 28 @ KAPOLEI HALE FROM 6-8:30 P.M.
I am sponsoring a TOWN HALL MEETING on rail to discuss development schemes that features four of the six speakers being flown in from the mainland just to talk to us about our rail endeavor. The agenda is as follows:
February 28 * Kapolei Hale 6:00 to 8:30 PM
West Oahu Development: Meat & Potatoes or Gravy Train?
Moderator: Panos Prevedouros
Wendell Cox: Oahu's Backlog of Infrastructure and Fiscal Liabilities
Adrian Moore: HOT Lanes Address Second City Growth and Needs
John Charles: Transit Oriented Development Explained
Randal O'Toole: Rail Transit Jobs - Myths and Facts
Randall Roth: Rail Project "Broken Trust"
DEBATE ON RAIL GETS TELEVISION COVERAGE
It's finally here! The television playback schedule for our town hall meeting that was held at the Mission Memorial Auditorium covering the rail issue recorded on December 6, 2011 - airdates are as follows:
Rail - Town Hall Meeting
02/10/2012 - 7:30 PM - VIEWS 54
02/13/2012 - 1:30 PM - FOCUS 49
02/19/2012 - 10:00 PM - FOCUS 49
02/20/2012 - 11:00 AM - FOCUS 49
This town hall meeting was to be a debate between pro and con rail advocates but as you will be able to attest after watching the meeting, not one elected official or government employee who has taken the position to favor steel wheels on steel rails would accept my invitation and face off with experts who can prove: NUMBERS DON'T LIE, PEOPLE DO.
If you are alarmed at the reckless behavior by the city to push steel wheel rail through prematurely and flushing over $20 million down the toilet thus far on frivolous change orders on contracts that could have easily been avoided, you will be even more alarmed after watching Senator Sam Slom and Dr. Panos Prevedouros speak in this television show.
MY MANTRA IS: PUT RAIL ON THE BALLOT IN 2012 AND LET YOU VOTE ON IT - TIME IS RUNNING OUT; WHAT STUDENTS AT EWA MAKAI MIDDLE SCHOOL WANT IS FOR US ADULTS TO STOP THIS RAIL NONSENSE
In this video, Dr. Panos Prevedouros and I advocate for your right to vote on the rail while Representative Kym Pine does not want you to vote on it.
