ALOHA,
EWA DEVELOPMENT PLAN- BILL 65
Please share with me your amendments to this plan that you want executed. It is imperative you contact me immediately on this plan - for the committee hearing that took place at Kapolei Hale on October 10 to take public testimony on Bill 65 resulted in the committee (Zoning and Planning Committee) to defer the measure - not take action - but, the chair of the Zoning and Planning Committee, Councilmember Anderson may hear Bill 65 at his next committee date of November 29 and we should be prepared. Councilman Anderson has already requested Bill 65 to be amended with the following amendment - click here. For the hearing on hotels specifically in the plan - click here.

FIGHTING FOR YOUR RIGHT TO KNOW
Your right to know if Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's) are in your food - simply - LABEL IT movement- was heard by the Kapolei/Makakilo/Honokai Hale Neighborhood Board this past Wednesday. A resolution was passed by the Kapolei/Makakilo/Honokai Hale Neighborhood Board to join the Ewa, Nanakuli/Maili, and Waianae Neighborhood Boards that already passed motions to alert and notify the City and County of Honolulu that food products need to be labeled and request the State Legislature to follow suit.
Please go to my website - www.councilmanberg.com for more on this subject.
I am pleased to announce, that for our council district, we are now the first district on Oahu to have all of its neighborhood boards take action to promote and advocate for the labeling of GMO's in our food . . . our office led the fight, took initiative, and helped champion this accomplishment.
